Due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions, all trash and recycling collection scheduled for Monday, Feb. 23 have been cancelled. Collection for the remainder of the week will operate on a holiday, one-day delay (Monday's collection will be moved to Tuesday; Tuesday's collection will be moved to Wednesday, and so on until Saturday).

Lower Moreland Township has declared a snow emergency effective Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 6:00 PM until Noon on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Township code requires all motor vehicles to be removed from roads and snow to be cleared from fire hydrants. Township residents are also required to clear a pathway, not less than 30 inches in width, on sidewalks by removing snow and ice within 36 hours after snow has stopped falling. Please do not shovel or plow snow from driveways or sidewalks into the street or onto someone else's property.

Fetters Mill Road Bridge project

Fetters Mill Bridge is a historic steel riveted through truss bridge built in 1893 and rehabilitated in 1977. Spanning 82 feet over Pennypack Creek, it connects Lower Moreland Township and Bryn Athyn. The bridge was closed indefinitely on April 27, 2017, due to its poor condition. PennDOT has approved a full rehabilitation, scheduled for completion by mid-November 2025.
