Lower Moreland Township’s Fire Marshal’s Office will be issuing a burn ban effective 12 AM on Friday November 1, 2024. The ban will last 30 days and prohibits open fire, including recreational fire pits and fireworks. The ban is due to the extended period of dry conditions affecting not only Lower Moreland Township, but all of Montgomery County. For any questions, please call the Fire Marshal at (215)947-3100

The Township’s contract with Republic Services to provide trash and recycling collection is set to expire on December 31, 2025. This will require advertising a bid for these services in the second quarter of 2025 so we may have a contract in place for January 1, 2026. Since our last bid in 2021, the market has changed significantly which will require adapting the program scope, including the collection type and frequency. The application, submitted by Wei Wang is proposing a 4-lot subdivision. This is an amended Sketch Plan for the 5-lot sketch plan application that was previously reviewed by the Board of Commissioners at their April 12, 2022 meeting. As was in the case with the previous sketch plan review, please note that this is a Sketch Plan review, so there is no vote for or against such plan, but rather an opportunity to provide feedback and information.
