UPS Redevelopment Project

UPS is proposing to build a 1,004,000 sf facility at 1 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA (former Island Green Country Club property). The development group proposing the UPS facility in Northeast Philadelphia was scheduled to begin public presentations with community groups on March 31, 2020. A presentation to the Lower Moreland Township Board of Commissioners would have followed shortly at a regularly scheduled monthly meeting. As we are not currently able to meet in person, the developer has shared a PowerPoint to allow residents and business owners in the area an opportunity to see the proposed plans and learn more.

As the facility is located outside our municipal boundaries, Lower Moreland Township will work with leaders at the Montgomery County Planning Commission and PennDOT to advocate for the Township when considering traffic, stormwater, noise, light and other items regarding this proposed development. The public is encouraged to submit emails to info@lowermoreland.org which we will be able to forward to the development group. They have advised that they will provide responses every two weeks to the inquiries received.

The Township will provide meeting notification regarding this project as soon as it is scheduled. Click here to view the UPS Redevelopment Project
