Lower Moreland Township Updates:

Governor Wolf issued a Stay at Home Order for Montgomery County residents beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 until April 6, 2020. Following this announcement, Lower Moreland Township will cease regular operations for the next two weeks. In response to Governor Wolf’s recent orders, the Township has made changes to services and operations. Please see departmental updates below. 

Public Works Department
- The collection of bulk items and white goods has been suspended until further notice. E-waste drop off and leaf mulch pick-up is also suspended. The first day of yard waste collection is scheduled for April 1st. Trash and recycling collection will remain as scheduled. 

Code Enforcement Department
- The Code Enforcement Department will NOT be accepting permit applications at this time. If emergency work is needed, please call the Township at 215-947-3100 or email

General Township Information
- The Township’s Administration Building remains closed. Please note that there is a drop box located at the Administration building for the collection of sewer and tax payments.

The following Township events have been cancelled:
Spring Egg Hunt- Saturday, April 11th 
Earth Day Tree Planting- Saturday, April 25th 
Spring/ Summer Extravaganza- Saturday, May 30th

Lower Moreland Township will continue to provide our community with essential public services including police, fire, EMS, sewer, trash and recycling collection.
