BUILDING PERMTS – A $4.00 surcharge per PA Act 157 is required for all Building permits.
 
NEW CONSTRUCTION:
Residential: Detached Dwelling: $350 per each 500 square feet or fraction thereof including basement and garage
 
Apartment Building, Multiple and Single-Family Attached Dwellings (including all spaces): $500 First 1000 square feet + $100 for each addition 1000 square feet or fraction thereof
 
Manufactured Housing – Shall bear an approved label identifying compliance to HUD requirements.  This fee excludes basement, footings, foundations, garages, and structures not fabricated and constructed in the factory: $450
 
Non-Residential: $350 each 1000 square feet or fraction thereof
ADDITIONS, ALTERATIONS, AND DECKS:
Residential: $50 each 100 square feet or fraction thereof
 
Non-Residential: $350 each 1000 square feet or fraction thereof
Tenant Fit-Out: $100 each 1000 square feet or fraction thereof
ACCESSORY/MINOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES 1000 SQUARE FEET& GREATER

Plan review - A fee for the review and approval of construction documents.  Review fees shall be deducted from the related permit fee:
 
Accessibility plan: $75 plus 4.5¢ per square foot of affected floor area
Building plan: 20% of related cost formula
Mechanical plan: 4% of related cost formula
 
Repeat Inspections –$25 per inspection

ELECTRICAL PERMIT – $4.00 surcharge per PA Act 157 is required for all Electrical permits.
 
Lower Moreland Township shall annually contract with a Certified Third Party Agency for Electrical Plan Review and Inspection services.  Electrical permitting fees shall be made to Lower Moreland Township.  All electrical work, not exempt by PA Act 45 known as the Uniform Construction Code, shall first receive an Electrical permit including that work performed subordinate to Building, Fire, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Sign permits.
