Lower Moreland Public Works
The Lower Moreland Township Public Works Department is comprised of the Director of Public Works, the Superintendent of Wastewater Treatment, Public Works Secretary and eleven team members. This Department takes pride in their ability to provide the utmost level of service to the residents, while always striving for the highest quality in the most cost efficient manner.

Lower Moreland Public Works at a Glance
The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of Township streets, sanitary sewer and storm sewers pipes and inlets, traffic operations including the maintenance of signs, street and traffic lights, snow removal and ice control, residential bulk, grass, brush, branch and leaf collection, trash/recycling, maintenance of nine pumps stations, the operation of the sewage treatment plant and the maintenance of all Township parks and open space. Internal functions include custodial, fleet and facilities management.
The Kurt G. Mayer Public Works Maintenance Facility, a new 12,520 square foot for the Public Works Department completed construction in 2008. This facility comprises the re-construction of a new garage and maintenance building for improved protection of equipment, additional office space, a salt storage building, improved employee parking and site security. The facility also includes a state-of-the-art underbelly car washer that was featured on the History Channel’s show Modern Marvel. This helps preserve the longevity of Township vehicles.
